Toca Organics is a start—up whose sole purpose is to simplify good quality home and body care and make it easily accessible to every individual. It was born out of its innovatods need to address her and her son's skin problems. They had extremely dry skin that cracked even with intense moisturising, and no product on the market could effectively hydrate their skin, thus came the first product of the brand - Hemp & Patchouli Body Mousse.
Production organically grew into a thriving cottage industry, which now boasts eight products and a variety ot facial and body soaps. The products are painstakingly made using only the best quality raw materials, including indigenous herbs. The use of indigenous herbs is aimed not only on imparting specific healing properties to our products, but to also provide livelihoods for local communities,
Nomaphuthi Hoohlo is a mom who qualified as a pharmacist from the University of Zimbabwe, and has over 29 years' experience working across different areas of the pharmaceutical sector, including at the now-closed Lesotho Pharmaceutical Company. She has lectured at both the National Health Training College and the National University of Lesotho, and is currently a Director in the family consultancy firm that carries out development consultancy work. She is also an indigenous health practitioner who employs a myriad of healing modalities including psychosocial support, energetic healing, sound therapy and use of indigenous herbs.
